Auditions: Last of the Red Hot Lovers! @ Congregation Beth Israel
Mar 26 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Classic Theater Guild is excited to announce auditions for Neil Simon’s Last of the Red Hot Lovers, directed by Gary Hoffmann.

Auditions will be held on Mon March 26th and Tues March 27th at 7:00 pm.

Performance Dates and Times: The production will be June 1-3 and 8-10, 2018 at the Schenectady Light Opera Company.

Audition Particulars: Readings from the script.  Roles for one man and three women. Please refrain from bringing food and beverages other than water to the audition.

Character breakdown for Last of the Red Hot Lovers:

Barney Cashman – middle-aged, married nebbish who wants to have an affair before his midlife crisis expires. With no experience in adultery, he attempts to have an affair with three different women (one in each act).

Elaine Navazio – late 30′s/early 40′s; willing to have a fling, as long as she has access to cigarettes & whiskey. She has no moral qualms about accommodating Barney’s desires, but she has cynical and critical commentary along the way.

Bobbi Michele – a 20-something hippie who is quirkier than Barney had bargained for.

Jeannette Fisher – 40-something, Barney’s wife’s best friend, who had no reservations when soliciting Barney in his kitchen, but later runs cold and anxious during their attempted rendezvous.
