About Classic Theater Guild

The Classic Theater Guild Inc. is a locally run theater company that has been active since its inception in 2003.  rumorsThe Classic Theater Guild began performing shows at the Hilton Center in Albany, and has gone on to perform at such venues as the WAMC, Old Songs, and many other local venues until we found our current home at Proctors in 2008.

The Classic Theater Guild Inc. performs 4-5 main stage shows per year at Proctors in Schenectady, our nearby gallery space and other locations.  During the summer months the Guild also presents a summer theater festival at Indian Ladder Farms, all outdoors, as a free festival to the public.

The Classic Theater Guild’s mission statement and message we would like to share with the Capital Region is that CTG has been established exclusively for the advancement of education in the theater arts through, among other things, the production of contemporary and classical plays. mockingbirdThe Guild also works to strengthen theater arts, support emerging playwrights, encourage education in the Arts, present a diverse array of topics, and encourage persons to enter acting by promoting the benefits of dramatic entertainment to educational institutions and to the general public.

Thank you so much for supporting the Classic Theater Guild Inc.!  We look forward to an exciting future together!
